A brief description of our work

2001 - some lecturers came from the USA (sent by Home School Legal Defense Association, HSLDA) and talked to us about home schooling
2001 - we decided to home school our children
2002 - we founded the Romanian Home Schooling Association, November 19
2002 - we organized our first home schooling Conference
2003 - we started to legalize home schooling in Romania
2003 - we started to lecture about home schooling around the country
2003 - we started an e-mail campaign with HSLDA
2003 - the expression "home schooling" was first introduced into Romanian Educational Law, unfortunately only for sick children
2003 - we organized our second home schooling Conference
2003 - meetings with deputies and an Undersecretary of State in Bucharest
2004 - we had some radio and TV interviews at Christian broadcasters
2004 - we continued our lecturing tour around the country
2004 - we organized our third home schooling Conference
2004 - we continued our efforts toward legalizing home schooling
2005 - we organized our fourth home schooling Conference
2005 - we still continued our efforts toward legalizing
2005 - we received an official answer from the Ministry of Education in which they told us that it is impossible to introduce home schooling into the current Educational Law
2006 - we focused even more on legalizing home schooling
2006 - we received an official answer from the Ministry of Education in which they told us, that they introduced home schooling in the new Educational Law Project, as an alternative to the public school.
Hopefully the new law will pass the Parliament in 2007.
